James Vidal Favors, 31, of Edgewood, is facing charges for an incident that played out in the 500 block of Joppa Farm Road in Joppa involving an armed robbery where he and a second suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to a spokesperson for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, at around 4:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, deputies were called to Royal Farms, where there was a reported armed robbery that had just taken place involving two men in dark clothing who were brandishing a gun and demanded money.
The clerk complied, and the pair fled on foot in the direction of Joppa Farm Road and Foster Knoll Road with the cash, though investigators were able to quickly identify Favors as a suspect.
On Wednesday, officials announced that Favors had been arrested on Monday by deputies without incident and charged with armed robbery. He was taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
